Design Nearing Completion

Greetings, backers!

Behind-the-scenes work on our very first entry in The DC Art of... series continues. We have almost reached the end of the first round of design. There is still a bit more work to do as we get everything just right, but fingers crossed we will get this off to the printer by the end of the month.

This means that we are tracking to fulfill this campaign in January, as the holidays will further delay delivery of these rewards from our printer.  It's likely not the news you were hoping for, and certainly not the news we wanted to share, but we want to keep you updated as best as possible. We've been unable to keep you updated as much as we usually do, but we'll be increasing our communication as this project gets back on track.

In the meantime, check out this Raven character design by Jorge! We will be including this along with a few other character design sketches in the book!

Surveys have NOT yet gone out, but hope they will be ready soon.

Project Back on Track!

As we prepare for the calendar to turn to October tomorrow, we wanted to reach out with an update. 

We’ll start with the bad news. We're sorry to report that we will not be fulfilling this campaign next month.

Now for the good news: we’re pushing hard to get this out to you prior to the end of the year. 

Many of you have been worried that the book will be at retail prior to your receiving your rewards, and we want to assure you that absolutely will not be the case. We value the community we've built here, and want to continue to do so. 

Please understand that the delay has nothing to do with Jorge Jiménez. Any time we work with a new publishing partner, there’s often some behind-the-scenes issues to resolve. Those details have been ironed out and this will be a stunning book. Thanks again for your patience and support. Expect more updates as we move this along the production and design process.

Design continues!

Just a quick note to let you all know that we are well into the design process of this amazing book! We are working closely with Jorge to make sure that everything is presented just the way he wants it. We know that you are eager to see the final product, but we don't want to rush this stage as it is important to get everything right before we head into the layout process.

We are also prepping the next DC ART OF... Kickstarter! Who do you think it will be???

THANK YOU TO ALL 2027 BACKERS for a incredible campaign! We knew that there were a lot of Batman, Superman, and Jiménez fans out there and we are thrilled to see you all show up to show your support!

As we move forward, we will be giving you updates as we hit certain milestones as outlined in the timeline above.

IMPORTANT: If you use AppleID for your Kickstarter and Backerkit correspondence, you may want to update your contact info to a regular email address. AppleID blocks the email survey and updates, so it's important you update this asap. We are still a ways off from sending the survey, but no time like the present to make that change.
